I still don't get it. At most, a birth certificate has your baby footprints, which as an ID form is pretty useless when you're an adult. But most just have your SS#, parents names, your name, hospital, and doctor s name.

Valuable information, no doubt. But as far as ID goes, it's piss poor.

There was for an incredibly brief period of time and its now irrelevant... but government moves at the speed of molasses and has more or less no foresight for policy at all.

What's the point of physical polling? What's the point of numerical phone numbers? What's the point of signing a check? What's the point of collecting stamps? What's the point of horse riding? What's the point of bayonets? What's the point of trebuchets? etc
