it doesn't help when the entire starting rotation starts the season on the DL

we knew it was going to be a rough season, but they managed to get my hopes up with the strong start. now I check the box scores everyday to see that the bullpen blew another lead.

I went a couple Sundays ago to see Cincy host the Cubs, and Alfredo Gomez was the starter. He had an ERA entering of 12. Early season and all that, but in 2-2/3 he proceeded to let up 8 runs, so his ERA went UP. Cubbies rest of the game only scored one run, so good job bullpen, but the Reds bats couldn't do anything and were shutout. Plus it's hard to get into a game when after 3 you're down 8-0.
