Anybody else think it's hilarious that the mother who took her child to the zoo is being accused of neglect?

I'd charge her with being a little lazy and distracted, but that's not even close to neglect.

I don't see a problem with the police reviewing the security tapes from the zoo to see if either the mother was negligent in watching her kid or if there are improvements the zoo can make in security.

From what I've read it happened pretty quickly and the mom was right there. Anybody who can't understand who the kid fell in and wants to point blame at the mom doesn't have a kid like that.

I don't know what the situation was with the mother, but any childless person should just keep their opinions to themselves.

Outside of using a leash (which would gather its own set of harsh opinions), a 4 year old can jerk their hand away in about 2 seconds and be off.

Losing track of your kid is not child neglect though.

And, as much as we claim to care about them, they're still the most likely among us to live in conditions that we would describe as deplorable. Those conditions obviously do not include educational outings with your mother.


And, fuck it, I'm going all the way...any current parent who took time to type more than three sentences about how Michelle Gregg sucks is an even shittier parent themselves. Like, if you actually let your judgmental little finger click the comment button, so you could put in your two worthless cents about how she needs to be charged with a crime...if that was part of your day as an adult guardian of children...then you've already lost at parenting in so, so many ways.
