I really think this is all a bit of a tempest in a teapot. Unless the EU decides to shoot themselves in the foot and threaten punitive tariffs I doubt there will really be a big change. The UK is a net importer so the EU would really be hurting themselves and be directly contradicting their message of the importance of free trade.
I think they have to be very careful, quite a few other EU nations are unhappy with many aspects of EU membership. 6/24/2016 12:52:46 AM |

The second thing you said shows how wrong the first one is.
I think the EU might seriously consider punishing the UK as a warning to all the other members who might try to blackmail or abandon it. 6/24/2016 1:38:52 PM |

It's possible, but unlikely and I think even the EU leadership recognizes that fear and bullying aren't a great way to lead when there is a growing tide of nationalism and anti-Brussels sentiment.
It's especially true if you were a country that didn't adopt the euro or if you're concerned about how much pull Germany has. I mean shit, France has people calling for a referendum. Unlikely there, but the Netherlands, Sweden, the Swiss. Those are real possible outs. 6/24/2016 1:45:34 PM |

Just think too... if Al Gore had done a better job in Florida in 2000, we would have never invaded Iraq, Iraq wouldn't have become the destabilized mess that created a refugee crisis, people in the UK wouldn't have become so racist, and this vote would have never happened. 6/24/2016 2:11:51 PM |

except that the majority of supposed "refugees" to Europe are actually economic migrants from all over, with many of them using the refugee label as a cover to get in.6/24/2016 2:22:05 PM |

Christ, yeah, sorry. Should have been Denmark. It's early here and I've been reading way too much about various trade deals and who is in what.
