So it seems everyone recommends Wheezer for dog grooming, but she isn't active. Does anyone have any other recommendations, or know how to contact her? My friend paid ~$70 at Petsmart for a labradoodle, and it was awful. The guy missed her entire rear, and wrecked the rest.

^Good looking out. I've been looking for a place around here for that price range. Everywhere I have researched is like $60+ so I have just been taking the dogs back home to my normal place that charges $40 plus $5 to do the anals.

^^Nice, thanks! That's what her old groomer charged, but that was in Zebulon. She's since moved to Morrisville and couldn't find anyone near that. Durham might be doable if Kristen isn't available independently. Her employer looks $texas.

Hey there! Sorry about being MIA - I don't check this site often enough it seems LOL

MetroHound Spa is a mobile grooming company - We come to you. Your pet experiences less anxiety, stress and complications when worked on straight through without interruptions. Our salons are completely self-contained, state of the art, and clean! We work around your schedule, and also offer a latch-key service while you're away at work because we know you are busy adults! If you would like that service, you can offer us a key, or garage code for entry. We will notify you when we are there, take pictures of your pets grooming service afterwards, and notify you when we leave.

That being said, yes, mobile grooming is typically more expensive due to the convenience factor. But rest assured, your pet will have the best grooming service in the Triangle. I'm a competitive groomer, have traveled around the country for competitions and have won multiple awards for my work. I'd love to be able to help you with your grooming needs!

We also don't up-charge for services. The things that we include in our Standard Spa Package are usually additional services that we feel should be guaranteed with every grooming service. They include: specialized shampoo and conditioner for your pets particular skin and coat needs, tear-less blueberry facial, ear cleaning and plucking (if you desire), anal gland check and expression (by your request), complete hand blow dry, any particular trim you prefer, nail clipping and grinding and a bow or bandanna. Another thing that's up-charged if you take your pet to a shop-environment is the express service. Depending on the type of pet, the service should take no more than 1-2 hours. No cages, no stress, no problems!

We are also licensed and insured.

Feel free to email me: kristenc@metrohoundspa.com or the company: info@metrohoundspa.com for more information. You can also register your pet on our website: http://www.metrohoundspa.com and have our Office Manager, Katie, call you directly to answer any questions and set up an appointment!

^Hi Kristen, thanks for the response. I'll email though I'm guessing from the level of service, it may be out of her price range. She's a single mom who is a preschool teacher.

BTW, the Metrohoundspa seems like a great service but above her (and my) price range as a single income former stay-at-home mom with a high-earning but currently deadbeat ex. I'm just cheap though, so I'd probably do it myself and butcher it .

Also checked out Petpolitan. It was $75, which seems reasonable compared to Petsmart.
