i don't know if he's on LSU's radar. it's pretty early to say either way.

it's not an issue of whether he's "good enough" for us. dude can coach. but that doesn't mean we should hire him. it's not really a scenario where all he did was bend or break some NCAA rules (like jim tressell or butch davis)...it's worse than that.

Let's get our program relevant and then we can afford to take the high road. I say if we can get Biles, go for it. We're really not in a position to be picky unless we want to take another 3-5 year chance on another mid-major assistant coach and end up empty-handed again. Meanwhile, UNC builds a perennially ranked program by shitting on the NCAA and everyone else.

then it would still be going because there isn't a coach alive who could come in aND compete for championships in year one with another coach's top 60 talent and even if there was, there's no reason he would want to come to Raleigh to do it.

you're going to have to make some concessions in your demands. we aren't a desireable place because we don't have a great atmosphere, facilities or traditional. we play in one of the hardest divisions, we have ano average recruiting pool being divided amongst 6 power conference programs in the Carolinas and we have fans that expect championship contention right away

who would walk in to that? it's just not reasonable and the more you talk about it the less desirable we become during our next search

I doubt we'd fire him even if Wake blew us out. I think it would take at least a blowout by BC later on but then apologists would just say it's because we just had a tough series of games. We'd likely have to go 3-9 to force Debbie's hand unless she's got some back room deals going on right now.

We weren't supposed to win those games. In fact, it was completely unreasonable to expect us to win those games. That is my point. No coach will want to come here if the expectation is instant contender. I'm not defending DD and will be ready to move on if the ECU results continue for the rest of the season but it is also unreasonable to extrapolate after one bad game. Look at Tennessee, they looked awful against APP. I'm not saying we could be as good as them or that we will even turn things around. I'm just saying one first game isn't necessarily an indication of what is to come so let the season play out and discuss if the coach should be fired in november/december. or at least a few games into the conference season. Its freaking september.

The Les miles situation is different. You guys have got to realise that LSU is in a different galaxy than us in terms of football. we are not anywhere near that level program and never have been. Acting like their fans will not bring us their history.
