No clue. Mine always goes off in the early morning too.
In fact, the battery has died early in the morning so often that I routinely keep a supply of 9v batteries stocked in my home. 10/5/2016 2:51:11 PM

^^^,^this.
^^you mean often dies in a particular detector? If so, it's either a bad detector, or if it's supposed to be AC powered, then it's not getting AC power.

Recently I have had to open the breaker, drain the stored power, input new battery, and close breaker. otherwise when you put the new one in it will still think it is dead. I've read where that is the correct way to do it normally but I don't remember having to do that until recently in the same house with the same detectors.
Drove me crazy the first time. I finally decided the detector was bad and bought a brand new one. Mother fucker chirped when I installed it right out the box. 10/5/2016 8:12:37 PM

No, I mean that regardless of the detector, the battery always seems to die early in the morning when I'm trying to snooze. Always. So, like, I always have a 9v battery replacement. 10/5/2016 10:31:14 PM

If it happens that often, you could be proactive and change it at regular intervals and avoid this problem. 10/7/2016 7:47:54 PM

This shit is driving me crazy. I have the hard-wired ones and I swear I've followed the steps 10 freaking time including turning the circuit breaker off and it still chirps. I've just had to leave it unplugged. It's an unused guest bed room. I want to punch whoever designed them that way right square in the nuts right now and hold a chirping smoke detector up to both ears. Why can't I just replace the fucking battery and be done with it.
