My question is, after jumping from those high perches, I wonder how far down into the water he goes? I have pretty sensitive eardrums, and I can't go but a few feet under water before the pressure is too much.

The highest I have ever jumped into the water from is a designated diving cliff at around 30-ft in HI. I worry about my balls smacking the water more than my ears aching. You can usually spread your arms as soon as you enter the water to avoid going too deep.
