The Electoral College delegates are not required to vote for the preferred candidate of their state's choosing. It won't happen but it's what is getting me through between now and middle December when the delegates actually pledge their vote.

most places with laws write them so if you place the wrong vote its not counted and you are replaced

in nc you just get replaced, your vote not counted, and you have to pay $500
