I actually think that making this a live action movie is a good move. Of course, there are plenty of talented, asian actresses out there that could have been casted to play this role, but given the actual concept and theme behind the main character, her being cast as a white chick is irrelevant.

I liked the anime, but honestly it did not nail the ending as well as it could have based off of the Manga.

Also, I hope that it gets the R rating, because the issues that she faces with her body and appearance are major parts of the plot, and it would be a shame to have this PG-13 and not have her criticizing and questioning her appearance in the nude.

Movie looks good except for scarjo. I don't care that she's white, her voice isn't right and I don't think she plays a good "tough" character.
