^^Except it really isn't a modern day military is it? Didn't a virus accompany the mutation in the apes, and this virus knocked out most of humanity?

^^^ The movies originally were supposed to be allegorical, but besides that point, they do a good job in the new movies showing how the balances would tip I think.

Agree. Think about it. Most of humanity has been wiped out by the virus including most of the veterans and other military ppl with extensive training and combat experience. Most of the ppl they would be using now are scrubs or whoever they can beg to join the new military. Did you see how scared that one soldier was that the apes captured. I thank a soldiers with years of training would have done a better job remaining more calm. But that guy was scared shitless. How many ppl are left that can fly a fighter jet, or crew an air craft carrier/destroyer?

My initial impression is that I didn't like it nearly as much as the first two. I think having such a clear "bad guy" makes the commentary the series generally makes less thoughtful

I've been hearing really good things and hope to check it out soon. I enjoyed the first one but really did not care for the 2nd

So I finally watched this one, and it is by far the best one of the new trilogy. That’s not to say it was a great movie, because it had plenty of big flaws, but despite them it was still a pretty entertaining watch. The first one was OK, the second i fucking despised, but this one was enjoyable
