There is no implication of canned fish in "tuna noodle casserole". 3/5/2017 7:47:29 PM

Lol NRR ain't remotely posh, and he doesn't need to take a road trip to catch fresh tuna.

linguistically, there is no implication. culturally/practically, of course.
i don't know where he lives, but where would he catch fresh tuna? wouldn't he have to go on a fishing trip in the ocean?

I used to really enjoy tuna, but mainly because you'd sometimes find little bits of dolphin mixed in. after all the companies went "Dolphin Safe," I lost interest. 3/7/2017 12:33:00 AM

I used to buy cans of tuna as I would add it to my pasta dish that I used to make regularly, but I have stopped eating pasta (and bread) so I don't get it anymore.
The only canned fish I buy now is sardines in olive oil, and salmon. I really enjoy the taste of those, as compared to tuna, which I only used to eat because it was convenient.
If you can get your hands on canned tuna ventresca, DO NOT MISS THE CHANCE. That thing is like crack. It is underbelly of the tuna. Instead of the flaky and dry texture that tuna has, this thing has a soft held-together texture and a creamy luxurious flavor. It melts in your mouth!

I got it in Italy and just once, one jar was like 6 or 7 Euros. Here you will pay a lot more because it is imported.

At the second link you can also find sockeye salmon underbelly, referred to as "Redtresca". That must be heavenly!
Either type costs $10-15 for a 4-6 oz. can. 3/7/2017 10:55:36 AM
