I thought it was decent. People had been talking like it was some super creepy mind fuck of a movie and it definitely wasn't that so I was disappointed there. Otherwise, decent story, pretty original, I'd wait to see it on Netflix or Redbox though.

I was actually looking forward to this more prior to seeing that trailer.

So now I'm just worried that these white people have a bunch of black people hypnotized. I hope that isn't actually the plot.

I finally got around to seeing this. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm a huge snob when it comes to horror films, although this may skate the thin line between horror and suspense. Pleased that it was an original story too.

I was really digging it until I saw the cotton fall out of his ears. There isn't enough cotton that would keep sound out well enough for him not to have been re-hypnotized.

Saw it last night, it was really fucking good. I really don't remember any hype around this one when it first came out, and someone casually mentioned it on a podcast recently, and it was really well done.

SPOILER BELOW





The scene where Rose hits the deer and when the cops show up demand to see Chris's ID took on a completely different meaning at the end. It seemed like she was standing up to a race profiling cop and you leave that scene feeling like "fuck yeah, that girl stood the fuck up to that cop."

Then later it's clear that she was trying to make sure he wasn't ID'd in that area when the inevitable missing persons investigation started.
