^Not true. It's a pretty cool place. I don't go anymore though because everyone grew up, got married, and had kids. Now no one I know is allowed to go out to the bar anymore unless they want to get it trouble with their spouse.

City Market must have given them a shitty deal on their rent since they are moving to a temporary location while they look for a new location.

A lot of times when a bar closes I reminisce about the good times I had there. In this case I can't think of anything except smashing a Nextel.

^I just hope they open up on Glennwood South, or near 42nd Street Oyster Bar, so they will survive. It would suck if they moved to a shitty location and then failed.

This was my favorite bar in college when I did go out. I lived in the fraternity house on Maiden my last 3 years so I spent most of my time there. We could walk to and from Rum Runners when we needed to. One time we decided to head down there at 1 AM stone sober and got smashed before closing.

IIRC, they were originally located at what is now Bahama Breeze across from Duke Raleigh Hospital. Then they moved to City Market on Moore Square. I hope the next location is a good one, so they can survive as long as they want to.

^I do hope the new location is a little bigger, but at the same time I am going to miss going to the city market location. Tiny crowded bars can be fun, sort of like small arenas with no air conditioning that are used for indoor sports.

Some dude in a pink polo asked me what the fuck I was wearing (grey striped t-shirt). Guess I didn't fit the dress code. 80 people screaming Friends in Low Places. By far my least favorite song on this earth. Wagon Wheel has been climbing the charts though. Got into a fight with my girlfriend probably because that place made me rage. Die in a fire.

i went there several times in college. it was fine. generally too crowded, but most every bar was too crowded. got kicked out once...i was incredibly drunk and it was probably deserved.

^^Jillian's was okay, but that game credit card always screwed people over. You never had enough points to empty it out. It was too big too. Box Car Arcade is waaaaaaaaaaaay better.
