That looks more like a list of "Best Media clout" I can see several on there that are well known, but definitely not the best. Cary/Morrisville is peppered with some of the best and most authentic ethnic foods in the triangle, but doesn't look like the Indy bothered even going out past the belt line for most of Wake County.

I was looking at Wake County mostly, which lists Bad Daddy's Burger Bar as the best, a chain restaurant from Charlotte with a big ass PR presence.

Chubby's is pretty good, but I don't know if I'd call it Mexican. It certainly isn't your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant.

Chubby's won for Best Burrito and was a finalist for Best Taqueria. Gonza won for best Mexican Restaurant, and Chubby's wasn't a finalist.

CliffyB will be happy that Raleigh Beer Garden won best beer selection in Wake County.

I think they hit a lot of the top spots for Orange/Chatham. Lot of the places I go to regularly made the list, which makes me happy. At least Carrburritos beat all that other bullshit for best burritos.

Yeah but it's the restaurants that push the voting. Bad daddy's wins a bunch because they put it on a sandwich board at their door. Jerkmasters mught be the best Jamaican food in the state but nobody that goes to Jerkmasters is gonna vote in the Indy week poll.

I'd bet that the best Mexican restaurant is some hole in the wall place that few english speaking people know about.

There used to be a really good one near creedmoor next door to a gas station. They served horchata out of a big rolling trashcan.
