Anyway, I'm excited to hear about the bells. I always thought our bell tower was cool. I still have my "Finish the Bell Tower" shirt. They were sold to help raise money for bells.

So the school had a ceremony to celebrate the finishing of the bell tower on Friday. The mayor was there along with the news, chancellor, and some others. Saturday at noon I went to the bell tower to hear it and nothing happened. The clock hands were turning though. This is some NC State shit. Why spend over 300k finishing it, if you aren't going to let the bells ring?

^Where did you hear that? It was a 250k private donation that helped finish it along with the t-shirt fundraiser, and the class of 2010 gift of 54k to the school that bought one of the bells.

Donated $ is still tax detectable $. So instead of Billionaire Bob paying his due tax he gives it to a school that will build him a memorial to himself and he get to skip out on the state and fed taxes. Which is all fine and dandy if the rich are giving to the schools that need it the most but they’re not fit the most part. I’m sure they’re nice people but there are a lot of schools in need of renovation in my mind more so than a been tower.
