Wife and I really enjoyed. They should make this a universe thing.
Loved the little things like a dragon flying in the night sky but no one mentioning these things. 12/26/2017 8:06:20 AM |

i thought Will Smith said he was done with sci-fi movies? 12/26/2017 8:49:44 AM |

Horrible acting, bad dialogue, blah plot. But universe was cool.
Will Smith really mailed in his performance as the cliche grizzled cop. There were some obviously improvised parts that were really bad/not funny.

Definitely fucking terrible. Not at all like Bad Boys and concur with everything ^ except the universe being interesting.
Should have rewatched Die Hard a second time or Bad Boys. I'd reevaluate my life choices if I enjoyed this movie. 12/26/2017 10:40:31 AM |

it's much better than bad boys. not as good as die hard though, you're right there 12/26/2017 12:37:40 PM |

For 90 million this would have been a massive box office bust. Maybe going this direction and saving on promotion cost etc makes it worth while for Netflix. But it’s a really bad movie. 12/26/2017 1:39:34 PM |

can anyone explain to me how everyone chasing the wand planned to use it without being a bright? 12/26/2017 2:58:06 PM |

It was explained that it was worth the death to try and see if you are a bright. 12/26/2017 4:58:43 PM |

There is a lot poorly explained or not explained. But it’s not even worth considering. Actually could have had some potential as the created world could have been interesting but ultimately bad execution, writing, big plot holes, and bad acting. 12/26/2017 5:20:31 PM |

I liked it, but in a sense that I was entertained the whole time, not that it was a masterpiece.
I'd watch sequels for the same reason I continue to watch Fast and Furious movies haha. 12/27/2017 1:59:31 PM |

plot holes galore. this should have been a 10 series show and built out the universe some. Felt really rushed. Didn't like it all. 12/28/2017 7:22:06 AM |

underworld had the same kinds of plot holes and they've stretched that to 5 films so far 12/28/2017 9:07:04 AM |

Despite the plot holes, I found it entertaining. Like everyone else, I enjoyed the world they've built for the movie, and it would be interesting to explore other aspects. They mentioned 9 races, so I wonder what the other 6 are? I mean this universe seems Tolkien-based, so they could do something with dwarves, goblins, etc. Hobbits?
The use of magic was odd. They made it seem like finding a wand was like winning the ultimate lottery, but the only real use we see is either killing or bringing back from the dead. 12/28/2017 9:34:30 AM |

Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to more movies exploring the other races and history of this universe.
BTW here is a link with some of the backstory. Video is from Netflix.

The setting of the movie was more interesting than the movie itself.
Are the Elves bullet proof or not? I'm trying to figure how they slaughtered the gang without getting shot. 1/25/2018 5:28:33 PM |

I thought this was pretty bad. Had potential...but the storyline was a little too ridiculous. I know there are elves and orcs and shit...but I feel like they used the "fantasy" excuse to do whatever the fuck they wanted with the plot. 1/25/2018 6:07:47 PM |

I thought the trailer looked really terrible, basically taking the buddy-cop concept and running it to its most illogical conclusion. That said, many people I know _loved_ the movie, so I gave it a chance. I was surprised to find that I really liked it as well. The plot holes were your run-of-the-mill action-movie tropes, but the universe was interesting. 1/26/2018 11:21:07 AM |
