Booked Big Sky from Feb 17->Feb 25th.
Plan on going to Bridger Bowl for at least one day, snowmobiling, and even dog sledding. Anyone else been there that has some advice? 1/5/2018 1:40:33 PM |

I found the local Montana beer to be seriously good. And almost all of it is not distributed out of state so enjoy while there (if you like beer). Bridger Bowl is pretty nice (amazing really, for the price). However, it's not that large if you exclude the area that requires an avalanche shovel, transponder, etc. If you don't plan on going into that area of the mountain you may be happy with just spending half a day there. Bozeman itself has a decent little bar scene.
Just over 2 weeks until my trip! 1/20 - 1/24 in Aspen CO. Planning to spend 1-2 day skiing Snowmass and 1-2 days skiing the other 2 notable mtns there. Staying at a condo in Snowmass.
Anyone have advice for that area? 1/5/2018 2:32:05 PM |

TKE: I noticed that a lot of restaurants allow BYOB. Kinda weird. 1/5/2018 4:16:55 PM |

I definitely recommend snowmobiling. Not sure where you plan to do it, but last time I was in that "general" area we did a snowmobiling tour in Yellowstone (which isn't terribly far from Big Sky) and it was outstanding. 1/5/2018 4:31:56 PM |

Current conditions out in CO don't seem that great. Half of Snowmass isn't even open. 1/9/2018 4:37:09 PM |

Got lucky!
Aspen got 12-16" of snow (at higher elevations) overnight last Saturday through Sunday evening last week, right at the start of our trip. Great powder the first day and fantastic groomers the 2nd and 3rd days of our trip. We skied Snowmass, Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands in that order.
Between the (still) thin snow cover and some knee problems I didn't spend much time off trail. Most difficult area I tackled was Temerity - which was pretty challenging IMO. Anyway, skied like the wind on the steep blues and racked up over 80 miles distance and 90k ft elevation over 3 days. 1/26/2018 10:16:24 AM |

Hey guys...I might have the option of joining some cousins at Breck for about a week, but I'd be taking my 3 year old with me and my wife staying home (because she hates my winter activities).
Anyone have any experience with Breck and toddlers who don't ski yet? I see there's at least a day care, but what about the village, restaurants, etc? I've been there once, but just for the day so don't remember any relevant info other than the conditions we shitty 1/26/2018 2:58:49 PM |
