There’s actually political significance there because the gop legislature has been pushing to defund the HBCUs so making them part of the logo is a subtle push back to this idea.

The dollar figures that are being cited...is that just for the design? Or does that also take into account all of the retooling that needs to be done with letterheads, signage, etc? Because if that is the case, then yea, I can certainly see how it would cost that much.

I think they were going for "City of Oaks meets RTP technology" since the right side leaflets look digital. But the overall product looks like the logo for some pharmaceutical that you'd see a commercial for on TV.
