Welcome to TWW secret santa for 2019. I know that many of you are familiar with how this works every year, so have at it.

Having said that, I would like to express my own personal gratitude to TWW, and how in a way I feel like this has become a family to me. Yes, I have annoyed some, and yes I have angered others, but this is where I come when I am desperate and need some honest advice, and I am very grateful to the TWW community for helping me out in the past.

I also know that I am not the only one around here who visits this site when they are in search of the honest truth to the unsolvable problems or questions that they may have. Due to this fact, this is the only place on the internet where I feel a responsibility to give someone in need the best possible help that I have to offer.

So, on behalf of TWW, thanks for another great year, and let’s show our gratitude through another great secret santa.

If you would like to participate, please PM your name and current mailing address with a possible wishlist of what you may want. However, I would like to go a bit European style this year, and bring the cost restrictions down to a min of 20 dollars. This means that I simply encourage somebody to gift something from their heart. You can of course spend more if you’d like.

Therefore, if you are into metal, then make the best TP dispenser that you can. Or if you love wood, then make the best box that you can. And, if you are a guy like me that loves poems and music, then write the best Haiku that would ever show up on somebody’s fridge. Gag gifts are also encouraged.

Please have everything to me by 3.12.2019. I will do the drawing out of a hat on the 4th.
All gifts should be postmarked by the 16th.

This is getting a bit silly as I was actually looking forward to it and helping out, but I am not gonna fight with anybody if somebody else wants to step in. Everybody needs a fall guy as my old PhD boss would say.

For what it's worth, I did ask Fhqwhgads first before doings this thread, and had some back and forths with her regarding how she typically does it. I only wanted to help.

I think that it would mean a lot to TWW if you decided to participate. Isn't this what Christmas is about? Yes, we are users on a message board, but nobody outside of us knows about this thing that we got goin on.

It could have been the next facebook or reddit, but it luckily just stayed within our own community and that's what we have become. We have all known each other for years through this site, and I think that coming together for a Christmas event is what all families and/or communities should do.

regardless of what people are saying, this is still the secret santa thread. Are there any more takers? I don't won't any lack of turn out to be tied to me, because I appreciate what TWW does and will make sure that this works out. I am just trying to encourage people to have faith in the process and participate.
