Anybody watching this? It's on MGM+ which...until a suggestion from Amazon, I didn't know existed. I'm watching it on a 7 day free trial because I'm not about to spend money for yet another streaming service.

I'm digging it so far. Reviews are pretty dead-on - it's Lost f-bombs.

So I just finished season 1. I really liked it, but I'm a little disappointed because in true Lost fashion, you end up with more new questions than answers.

And for a show on a streamer, it's a gamble because these shows get cancelled if you look at them the wrong way.

I've been going through Season 1, only a few episodes left and I'm liking it so far. The thing I love about shows like this is that I like to think about what I'd do if I were in situations like this.

One thing that kind of surprises me is that the asshole software company owner and the main dad guy seem to be the only ones that have attempted to approach this problem from a scientific/logical standpoint. Maybe they'll address it later, but why hasn't anyone at least mapped out the border of the town where it "resets"? Is it a circle/dome? Have any of them tried to hunt the vampires/monsters in the day?

I'm really worried this is going to be like Lost with the resolutions, but I really like this show.

A larger topic - I'm getting more and more worried about getting invested in shows like this where streamers seem to randomly cancel shows at any time. Investing 8 or 10 hours into a show and getting to really like it, getting to know the characters, only to have the show cancelled after one season - it's frustrating.

^Yep, that was exactly what happened with 1899. I thought that was a really good show and after finishing Season 1 I was pumped for a few more seasons of mystery and reveals, only for Netflix to cancel it like a month later.

Completely agree. The latest casualty of this was FX's Kindred, which I thought was an absolute awesome first season with a huge cliffhanger and it was canceled unceremoniously. A real shame too.

S1 is on Prime now, and I flew through it. Immediately after that I did the free week trial of MGM+ and ran through season 2 even faster. Absolutely agree that it’s Lost with F-bombs, and I was a huge sucker for Lost, so I’m loving this too. I’ll probably wait until season 3 fully airs then dish out the $6.99 for one months worth of MGM so I can watch it.

So this is the first time any of the vampires have willingly "spared" any of the townsfolk. I wonder why the vampires waited until now to release the animals? It makes me think that they are serving some kind of entity that is giving them orders. Maybe it "feeds" on the despair of the townspeople? Boyd's declaration of how he's not gonna let it get to him clearly got to them somehow, and it heard him screaming that despite it being the middle of the day. Every time a vampire has killed someone, they remove their organs -- I thought it originally was to eat them, but maybe it is more psychological? If they were wanting to eat them, then obviously they wouldn't want to kill all of them outright.

Also, if they saw the livestock walking around at night, WHY WOULD THEY GO OUT TO GET THEM?? How far are the cows really gonna wander overnight? They know how dangerous it is... anyway, the animals just wandered out of the woods originally, did that just... stop one day?

My friend uses a website that has free streams of most TV shows, including From. There are some popups that can get annoying, but otherwise good quality. Not that I would do anything like that though, all of my watching is legitimate. I can ask my friend for a link if you would like it

I just paid the $6.99 for one month. Waited til yesterday so that the final episode would air within the one month period. I don’t mind paying that much for an entire season of a show I enjoy.

I’ve watched through ep 4 of this new season. Don’t have any real new insights to bring up just yet, still enjoying the show though.

Earlier I called Jim an unlikable Paul Rudd, I saw someone on Reddit the other day call him Paul Dudd, made me lol. That’s all I got for now.

Caught up...this show does have its annoyances for sure. I'd rank it season 1 > season 2 > season 3

Jade was so annoying at first, and has a girls name...but he grew on me. Was so embarrassing when Julie asked Fatima if she could kiss her.

I feel like jim the kind of dude that would snap and hit a woman. Victor about as old as his dad lol. What are they on day like 15?

Each episode basically seeing which character is bipolar and goes ape shit about some stupid shit, then they get normal and someone else goes ape shit about some stupid shit. Or they wake up from a nightmare, or have a hallucination. Start a lot of dialogue with "look". All the time "mind if we talk in private for a moment"

One thing that really annoys me is that all these people have weird shit happening to them like hallucinations of cicadas and dead kids and stuff and they just don't tell anyone. Or if they do, nobody believes them. Like, there are literal monsters that come out at night and rip your internal organs out, but little talismans stop them from entering houses, is it really ridiculous in such a scenario to believe that someone had a vision of a Civil War soldier?
