An in-law of mine used to frequently wear masks outside, particularly in the spring because of her "severe" allergies. But once Covid hit, she started refusing to wear masks. Ever. 6/8/2023 11:01:15 AM |

Tell them they must have a very weak immune system and have clearly given in to media fear porn.
Why not let their body's natural immune system clear the particulates? Something so small as PM 2.5 should never be able to harm a healthy person with a robust immune system. If they are so worried they should cower in their basements with the elderly and babies. 6/8/2023 11:31:29 AM |

^^classic new line of political pettiness... so predictable... mmm mmmm "I sure do love this bowl of shit I'm eating cause you hate that I'm eating shit!"
I've already seen plenty of posts saying this is all fake and just the government trying to make us put masks back on.
Some guy was following up every one of those comments with "GO OUTSIDE AND BREATHE DEEPLY, PLEASEEEEEEE."
Everyone keeps worrying about AI, but it's like, large swaths of the population already reject undisputed facts and data.
We're already hosed.

The smoky haze that we have in NC contains particulate that is smaller than 2.5 microns, so most masks wouldn't do much good anyway.
Not that I'm an anti-masker. I wore masks all throughout COVID.
Quote : | "You will not see mask ratings like these on standard disposable masks because they are not able to achieve 95% effectiveness at 0.3 microns. Most masks are only able to achieve a rating of PM2.5 (Particulate Matter 2.5) or lower. This means that these masks are only effective at 2.5 microns or larger.

Why is hazardous in quotes? We know why, but...why?
It only takes a small amount of common sense to understand that while that smoke might not kill you if you take a few breaths, it's not good for you. 6/8/2023 12:16:34 PM |
