My son's head only went halfway through the birth canal. My wife then had an emergency C-section. This resulted in my kid having a football shaped head. ~10 weeks in a head shaping foam helmet did wonders for him.

my son had plagiocephaly and wore a helmet for a few months as well. he was also 12.5 lbs when he was born so it was probably a little cramped in there...
