The phone, watch, tablet etc are exact due to age the internet. I try to keep the car clock and the alarm clock within <1 minute of them. The oven, microwave, etc are whatever.

Man car clocks are often the worse. Coffeemaker you have to like have it start flashing to correct time and wait 3 seconds so easy to go a few seconds over. Oven/microwave are like to the second

I try to keep them all set perfectly to the second as calibrated with the phone at time changes, but the car consistently loses time and will be a minute behind in a couple months, so I periodically correct it.

That's just making it inaccurate in the opposite direction. How is that better?

Actually my alarm clock is intentionally set 90 minutes ahead of the current time. To force myself to do math while sleepy.

^^The cheat code is knowing that the clock is inaccurate.

I appreciate your suggestion, but I do not plan to implement it.

I am getting into taking a video of time being off after several times fixing territory. Its like it is syncing with something that changes time but always 30 seconds(later) away from phone

i like my clocks 30 secs fast, my CD player alarm clock from the 90s runs fast so it gets ahead by more than a min before its time to reset it in the spring and fall for DST

Permanent standard time is the medically agreed better option.

They're within a minute or two. Sometimes I go all summer without springing forward on the main clock on the wall in our living room, though, but not this summer.

My oven is a "smart" oven that originally connected to the internet and kept its clock synced. The first power cut I had fried the wifi card though. It was under warranty so GE sent out a repairman to replace it for free. That one lasted maybe a year until the next power cut, which also fried it. After that, not worth replacing.

So now its within ~30sec of being correct, as is the microwave.

(The smart feature wasn't really even needed. Yeah I could preheat and see how much time was left from my phone, but not worth them stealing my data)

Why can't we just get creative with this?

Maybe make the spring forward a national holiday so ppl can't say it messed up their sleep. Or maybe split the difference and adjust times like 30 min between daylight savings and standard time. I think mumbai and north korea are like half off from us now so we could be on same page as them. In all seriousness...why can't we think outside the box
