Of course this is just an anecdote, but literally the few of my "friends" on social media that vocally supported trump were dumb assholes in high school that struggled to graduate despite being in mostly remedial classes (and dumb family that grew-up and never left their small town). I'm not being elitist, it's true.

I'm just anonymously posting an anecdote on a message board that has about a dozen regulars, it's not part of any strategy. And I made it very clear I was just posting what I know is an over-generalized anecdote about my experience on social media. And I reiterated I was only talking about people who vocally supported trump (on social media).

Even though the vast majority of my "online peers" on social media aren't trump supporters, none are as nearly as vocal in their support of Harris as those that were vocally in support of Trump.

^Oh, absolutely! They are quite adept at playing the victim while simultaneously bitching about people playing the victim. And white trash have been mad since at least the 70s; I was a kid then and remember the white trash was already talking about eventually becoming a minority, way back then.

Like I said, "We voted for Trump because Democrats called us stupid" is just a bullshit excuse they use to justify being ignorant assholes.

I think Democrats should just stop using ignorance and stupidity as a reason for losing.

Find a way to get to the factory worker on the floor of an assembly line who is worried about their next car payment, rather than just call them stupid. It didn’t work in 2016.

I live on a street full of fairly well-educated, solid middle class families. Just take my little anecdotal street, and there are Trump voters 8-2. Why? Are they stupid? Are they racists?

IMO it's partly that position of power thing like how minorities can make fun of whites, but whites can't make fun of minorities. The dumb can make fun of the smart, but the smart can't make fun of the dumb.

The other part is that a dumb "smart" person is worse than a dumb "dumb" person. On the factory floor, blue collar workers' livelihoods are dictated by the decisions of "smart/educated" office workers. How many floor workers think these decision-makers and designers are doing a good job? HA! Most only see what's directly in front of them and none of the intricacies and red tape involved with the running of a department or organization. Their lives are basically made miserable by smart people. If the dumb are dumb, then they're simply living up to expectations.

The Democrats were doomed the minute Kamala's approval record among the coveted 50+ age rural white male garbage truck drivers subgroup dropped below 10%. You just can't win elections these days with those kinds of numbers people. What can the party do to fix this problem you may ask? Their 2028 nominee must be a 50+ age rural white male garbage truck driver from a swing state (PA makes the most sense here). If the Dem leadership had a clue they would take their handful of promising 2028 candidates, have them quit their current Senate/Gov/private sector/etc jobs, complete any necessary gender/race change operations, and move them to PA to get jobs as garbage truck drivers. Just think about it...you'd flood the PA garbage truck drivers market with these over-qualified drivers who would be great at their jobs and would make great inroads with the local garbage truck driver community. The news of these great PA garbage truck drivers would spread like wildfire throughout the Blue Wall states. These people would be local heroes. Then they would all run for the Dem's 2028 nominee and that's game over no matter who it is.

For the 2028 race, I’m guessing the Republicans nominate either Cabbage Patch Boi or Rhonda Sand Tits. Then the Dems have to go with someone like Wes Moore…minority male, not a San Fransisco liberal career politician, military background (with a stolen valor controversy!).
