^ yeah, Nebraska started the trend with Matt Rhule whining about his players getting poached.

I doubt it is gonna prevent many transfers. Schools already have lists of guys they like for various reasons. Like we have pulled in a number of transfers that we had missed out on in HS recruiting. I'm sure good recruiting teams are always chatting those guys up in a perfectly "innocent" way too. if someone catches on in Spring practice that they aren't likely to be high on the depth chart, or that Billy Bob got a bigger NIL deal, someone is gonna be in their ear, TV or not.

I know the no spring game thing is a trend with several programs. I don’t have a strong opinion. But losing an opportunity for fan engagement is kinda lame in the era of asking fans to donate to NIL and booster clubs.

I don’t go to the spring game so I don’t care. But I can get why fans would be disappointed at the lost opportunity for engagement
