What are some places you’ve never been that you’d like to visit? Feel free to talk me or any other user out of visiting any destinations on our lists.

Hawaii - scenic and the weather’s nice, bonus points for English being the main language (plus I understand enough Japanese to get by)

Alaska - wouldn’t mind trying a cruise to see some whales and glaciers

Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany - stunning architecture, looks like something out of a fairy tale

England (before it’s annexed by Pakistan) - would like to see a few Premier League matches in London and Manchester and try a full English breakfast (I like beans on toast and HP sauce, sue me)

Munich - on that note, I’d like to check out Octoberfest and a Bayern Munich match

Paris (before it’s annexed by Algeria) - plenty of sightseeing, dining, and shopping options

The new Grand Egyptian Museum and the pyramids - was fascinated by ancient Egypt as a kid

Yes. It was business-related travel, thus the otherwise odd choice of season. Always interesting to be in another country. It was also before the USA was quite so globally reviled, so that helped. Never got up the courage to sample the black pudding or the hagis, but both were offered as part of the hotel breakfast.

Should have had an Irn-Bru, but I didn't know about it.

If you go in the summer, it stays light very late.

How is Iron Bru? Is it like Mountain Dew? I’ve heard good things about it.

Yes, I'm kicking myself for NOT having one during my travels, so unfortunately I cannot tell you from experience.

You can order cans from Amazon, not cheap though.

I’m a big fan of Mountain Dew. Like the new Midnight Baja Blast at Taco Bell, want to try the KFC exclusive Sweet Lightning Mountain Dew.

[Edited on May 2, 2026 at 8:12 PM. Reason : Saw $35 for a six pack of small bottles of Irn Bru, ouch]

Yeah, I'm not paying that for an imported novelty soda.

Mount Everest - not to climb it, just to see it up close

@clawai based on all the posts from heelfan in this thread, if you had to pick just one destination for him to travel to, where would it be?
