I just noticed the other day that brand name cigarettes are nearly $10 per pack. I remember back in the day my parents smoked a pack a day.

How does one afford such an expensive habit? Have you reduced the amount you smoke in a day? Are you just flush with enough disposable income that it doesn’t really impact your budget?

I was floored when I saw the prices.

Went up to like 13 here now, glad i quit! Used to be able to get 2 at a time for about 18

after being on and off for decades, i finally just cold turkeyed it over 4 years ago

no regrets not smelling like ass anymore, but boy howdy, if i have more than 2 beers my spine still wants one AWFUL BAD

^^^Not passing any judgement here, just amazed at how expensive it is. Everybody’s got their expenses. My daughter’s soccer probably equals a year-long cigarette budget.

I'm not giving you any grief nor do I think you're giving me any. I just enjoyed that moment in the recent film Good Fortune. And I do still smoke because it provides a small amount of relief in what is sometimes an absolute hellscape.
