When Raleigh gets one of the two likely expansion teams, where will they build the stadium? My idea is to clearcut a ~50 acre enclave inside of Umstead (<1% of the park’s acreage) and you could have shuttles running in from RDU/40/70 for easy access.

I'd say our chances are good. Dundon has development rights for 80 acres around Lenovo Center so that's the likely location at this point. As a nearby resident I'm willing to donate Schenck Forest

Looking at the lots/plans, that area might face similar size constraints for a MLB stadium due to the lot layouts and Walnut Creek cutting through there. It could work, but they’d need a large portion of the development devoted to the stadium.

Honestly, the Cary Towne Center site wouldn’t be a bad location either, and we could name the team the Cary Yankees.
