I imagine this has been suggested before, but just in case...
I was reading the thread about Indian Food in the Lounge and I thought it'd be helpful to have a "Best Of" award from TWW. Citysearch does their own version (see link), but I think we could make one tailored to the NC State community.

If we turn it into an actual physical award that we'd present to restaurants (like a certificate or something that marko whipped up), then I think that'd be great publicity and potential ad revenue for TWW. It'd take a bit of work...but if people are interested, I think it could work. 11/5/2002 11:58:31 AM |

Possibly, but the whole point of the award would be more or less to generate more revenue through ads (NO POPUPS). Even if we aren't very credible, awarding a restaurant an award for good food/service doesn't really require credibility. More or less it just requires people's opinions/votes. And who cares what they think of TWW or anything about them, the fact remains that lots of people see this site, and access it very frequently. Not to mention the fact that they could easily target college students with their advertising. It's not as though they would have to cater their ads to diverse demographics.
