in terms of smoking, section 15 had a police officer watching the crowd, and he even walked up and told one guy that he can't smoke in the stands and if he was to continue he'd have to leave. i agree the event staff needs to be more attentive in telling people they can't stand in the aisle. i had two guys stand in the aisle right beside me and blocked my view when i looked toward the NEZ side of the field. i let them stand there for like 5 mins before suggesting to them that they should go to some seats that were open down the row in front of me.

ok, for future reference...event one staff is there to handle these things, but only if someone complains to them

they are generally stationed there for more important issues, so they don't look for smoking as much as they do for other things

yeah, everything went smoothly for the first 40min or so after the gates opened while I was there. Even the Event One staff were shocked by the lack of problems. One of the bag checkers told me that he actually wished someone would have tried to bring something in so he'd have something to do. Those who did try to come in with non-student tickets didn't really seem to mind going to another gate. We explained the situation to them and told them the other gates to go to.

lahyde- do you know if they are going to make the guest tickets different for the next 2 guest games? It's kinda hard determing a guest ticket from a student ticket by just glancing at it. Changing the color wouldn't work since most people just printed them out in black and white.

^^Man, that SUCKS. If I were you, I'd just set up reminders through a computer scheduling program, or go to an ecard web site and have it send you a card the day before the game with a reminder (with Hallmark, you can prearrange ecards to be sent up to a year in advance). I'm not getting reminder emails either (and was very disappointed that they didn't use the old tickets listserv to at least remind people for the first game) so my friends and I have just been marking it in huge letters on our calendars and reminding each other constantly this weekend...

^^I went to va tech so yes i made it to 1. but the term 'i was out of town this weekend' might be a clue that I coudlnt go to E. Kentucky. and I thought that since va tech was a sunday game that was why it was on sat, and that also w/the eku game that they would move the distribution. I was wrong.

however I still wanted to know who do i ask regarding the emails. they would be really helpful. and I did sign up for them in the beginning, and my email is correct and i've never gotten one. so while i'll be mad that i'm not going to the unc game, i'd still like to get the emails.

alright i dont wanna read every page but if someone wants to direct me to the appropriate page its cool or answer my questions.

First if your in a block and someone loses a point for not going to the game (stupid person) then how does it affect everyone in the block for the next time?


Second how hard are they gonna be on checking to make sure your an nc state student with a state id thats yours for the carolina game? ( The person just transfered from state and is really wanting to go to the game so i didnt know if they were really strict on checking, and she can't find her old id)

^ First, after someone loses a point they can NO LONGER BE IN ANY GROUP, so the rest of the group is only affected in that you lose a person from your group, which could drop you below 25 folks.

Second, the ID you use DOES NOT HAVE TO MATCH the name on the ticket, ever. So in your case, he/she's a-okay using someone else's ID so long as either you can't see the person in the picture or they look remotely alike.

EDIT: Last game they just saw that I had an ID in my hand and let me through. Didn't even attempt to look at whether it was mine or not.

^ Thats not necessarily true. According to the ticket site I have only one point, though I went to both games and at both games got my tickets scanned. Nevertheless, it is telling me that I am still group leader and that I have people in my group for the UNC game. I would suggest everyone check their points so that they can file the appropriate appeal if needed.
