People who know, how is the show doing in terms of being a different show than the British show it's based on?
I recognized some stuff from the first season that seems like it was verbatum taken from some of the British episodes I've seen. I'm not seeing that so much this season. Are they doing better at being a seperate thing or have I just not watched enough of the British version? 4/28/2006 11:35:39 AM |
agentlion All American 13936 Posts user info edit post |
well seeing as how the british series only had 20 episodes total, and they've already written/aired 28 episodes in the US, and as I've seen about 1/2 the British episodes and several of them are nothing like any US episode I've seen, i'd say they're doing just fine at distancing themselves from their British parents.
I'll reserve judgement/comment on any further comparisons until I've watched the rest of the BBC version. I'll say this though - i watched the first 10 episodes over a month ago, and I have basically zero desire to force myself to watch the rest of them..... 4/28/2006 11:58:50 AM |

It means have idiots such as yourself ever watched a TV show? Main characters always get put in dire situations but somehow manage to come out alright at the end. It's called suspense and drama.
It didn't even cross my mind that he would leave until I came on here and saw you dumbasses seriously discussing it. 5/7/2006 12:16:34 AM |

would you so kindly point out where in my post i'm talking about how worried i am that he's leaving?
Could have sworn I'm saying the same thing myself, that something will go wrong in another area of the show and he'll come back. I don't mean come back to the show. I mean he won't transfer to the new job, or he will for like one episode and then come back.
Good try though. 5/7/2006 12:02:01 PM |
