I am curious to know what evidence this DA conjoured to obtain a warrent to arrest them. And his perpetual statements about "there was definitely a crime committed here" and other such nonsense sounds like a witch hunt. This also sets a scary precident for the future given that the lacrosse coach was forced out of the job. What if this same (or similar) garbage happens to the Duke men's basketball team?

wow, thats pretty hardcore having all this evidence leak out to the media.


I had seen on CNN where they had went to the cab company that gavethe players a ride and checked their call records, and were working to get the ATM camera footage of them withdrawing money. The cabbie also said they stopped at Cook Out and he dropped them off at their dorm room around 12:41. So basically there was no way that one guy was even in the area of the house when the alleged attack took place.

Universities tend to be lawsuit proof. NCSU kids get suspended from classes and trespassed from campus for bullshit felony charges with inconclusive evidence and they don't have legal recourse for the university's standard procedures.

I think people who are found to falsely/maliciously accuse others of felonies should be subjected to the maximum penalty for the fabricated crime. If (am I kidding anyone?) the stripper's lying, her sentence should include her handing over all her tips to the people she's wronged.
