I went ahead and got another controller. I couldn't find a wired one so I got a wireless one and surprise surprise I can hook it up to PS2 with a USB cable that came with it. The only thing that pisses me off now is that it was on sale last weekend for $20 cheaper

It's kind of strange though, I've gotten used to the Gibson SG that came with GHII and now it's kind of difficult playing with the new one (Nyko Frontman). The fret buttons require slightly more force to hold down and the strum bar offers a little bit more resistance, you'd be surprised at how much of a difference that makes when playing a song that I am familiar with. I suppose I just have to break it in.

^^If you have Guitar Hero I, it is a lot easier to transition. I was in the same position you are now I guess about two weeks ago and now I can't stand playing on medium because it moves too slow.

i know this sounds dumb, but any of the songs in the easiest set. i got my jimmy kicked in on hard when i first moved up, but i 5*d all of those pretty quickly (except surrender for some reason)

heart shaped box, or the toadies song would be the first 2 i'd recommend.

and for me, playing all the songs on hard has shown me that there isn't really ONE good way to play. each song can be beat, you just have to figure out the best way for you for each song. my default setup is fret keys 1-4. some songs have very little with the 5th key, in which case i stretch my pinky to the 5th key. some songs have much much more with the 5th key, so it's alot more back and forth.

Yeah i got hangar 18 on hard on like my 2nd try. I just finally 100% Jordan... albeit on Medium but still its a lot easier said than done!

Yeah I took a 2 week break when I hit the last tier on hard and failed a couple of times, but I picked it back up yesterday and knocked out the entire last tier and Freebird with no problems, haha.

Now starting on expert, so far so good, haha. On the 3rd tier, last song was a 4-star first time through on "Message In A Bottle".
