ROFL. What a dumbass. THE TERRORIST THAT WE CREATED BY BEING IN IRAQ ARE GOING TO TERRORIZE US SOMEWHERE NOW THAT THEY EXIST, MIGHT AS WELL BE IN THE LOCATION WHERE WE CREATED THEM!!!

It's like some wacky government social program where guys X need to do their jobs, which is filling holes, so we pay guys Y to create them...only, American and Iraqi lives are lost in this instance, and rich oil execs and other military spending specific companies are getting rich.

"Everyone is concerned about the United States being in the middle of a civil war inside Iraq, but they forget about the fact that, if U.S. troops were to pull out of Iraq, that civil war could become a regional war between the Sunnis and Shia. And the region, just in case anyone has forgotten, is the Persian Gulf, where we get most of our oil and, you and I have talked about his before, natural gas. So the idea of pulling out of there and letting the region—I mean, letting the national civil war expand into a regional civil war, something the United States cannot allow to happen."

not true at all

but otherwise i agree.

except, that i'm not so sure that it would be a horrible thing if that region got stirred up a little bit. that might be what it takes to get some change. but of course it could end far worse. who's to say?

bush's war fucked up that whole region. and now it's a big mess that no one knows how to fix.

Strange, why was there no mention about the war on terror, or terrorism, in his statements?

I'd actually be more ok with any strategy this administration could come up with if they just stopped saying this shit is about terrorism. It pisses me off and makes me want to say to them to take any plans they have and shove it up their collective asses.

that's easy to do when you lower your standards.

and yes, Iraq would be better off today with Saddam still in power.

^^It's true, the military has started to lower its standards to get more people in. they increased the enlistment age limit, they are actively telling recruits how to piss clean, and have actually started to recruit autistic and mentally retarded people. Don't try that logical fallacy shit on me.

Are you really naive enough to believe we weren't attacked before we ever invaded their country?

Are you really naive enough to believe this is an actual war that can be won?

Are you really naive enough to think the United States has 1 trillion...2 trillion...maybe more to spend on this war without repercussion back home?

Are you really naive enough to believe that this war hasn't caused vastly more people to hate us than did before?

Actually we were attacked before we invaded their country...multiple times...you fucking idiot

(awaits the IRAQ WAR != WAR ON TERROR bullshit rhetoric)

keep with the "smoked yourself silly" comments though...they're about as humorous as the "I have you on block but I always respond to you" hogwash you spew...maybe I should just resort to saying you don't get anything because you are bald when I can't argue anything pertinent to the subject...that way I can be a successful and well-liked poster just like you

But I did get a good chuckle out of your dumbass thinking that nobody was attacking us before we invaded Iraq...that shit is fucking hilarious that any moron would still think something so utterly retarded

And 42% think it's as bad or worse now.

Also, the BBC poll found that 50% of Iraqis think things are worse for Iraq now. 37% think things are better.

It was sort of okay before the war with Iran, at least in economic terms. And if you're okay with dictatorship. The last ten years before the invasion had been shit, with the sanctions and all.

Apparently some Iraqi's arent ok with dictatorships...I thought they were all mindless robots who all preferred "stability" to the current situation...if by stability you mean not knowing if the dictator's special police are going to kidnap and murder you

"The latest reports of Iraq violence Monday included six explosions in oil-rich Kirkuk which killed at least 10 people and wounded 37, police said, and a bomb blast at a Baghdad mosque that left six dead.

The Kirkuk blasts included four car bombs and two roadside bombs, police said. The car bombs targeted an Iraqi police patrol, an education directorate building, a mobile phone company, and an empty building once used by a political party, according to police.

About 150 miles (240 kilometers) to the south of Kirkuk in Baghdad, a bomb exploded at a Shiite mosque killing six people and wounding 32 others, a city police official said.

Attackers hid the bomb near an entrance to the mosque, the official said, which is called al-Hussein Bin Rooh. The blast hollowed out a crater in the floor of the mosque, smashed windows, and damaged a wall, according to The Associated Press.

Gheith Jassim, a 32-year-old shop owner who works near the mosque told AP he rushed to the attack site after the blast.

"When I arrived, I saw several wounded people being taken by ambulances and they were screaming from fear and injuries," Jassim told AP. "There were bloodstains on the wall and some carpets were burned."

Jassim told AP that some worshippers at the scene were cursing Sunni extremists.

"We are not saved from them even during prayers," he told AP. "They want to ignite Sunni-Shiite strife."

The mosque is is situated among several shops in the central Shorja market area -- which was the target of a grenade attack on Sunday that left two people dead and another wounded.

A survey released Monday for ABC News, USA Today, the BBC and ARD German TV suggests that Iraqis have moved from optimism to fear, anger and distress in the four years since the war began, according to The Associated Press. (Watch how families, and especially children, cope at a Baghdad refugee camp Video)

Only 39 percent of Iraqi respondents to the poll said their lives are going well compared to 71 percent in November 2005, AP reported. (Full story)

"Q2. Compared to the time before the war in spring 2003, are things overall in your life much better now, somewhat better, about the same, somewhat worse, or much worse?

2007:

Much Better - 14%
Somewhat Better - 29%
About the Same - 22%
Somewhat Worse - 28%
Much Worse - 8%
Refused/don't know - N/A"

Much Better + Somewhat Better = 43%
Much Worse + Somewhat Worse = 36%
About the Same - 22%

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/19_03_07_iraqpollnew.pdf

So according to these Iraqis...43% say Iraq is better than with Saddam in power while 36% say its worse...the people of Iraq have spoken

the whole world was aghast and crying for the iraqis over the draconian embargo against them, which led to, among other horrific things, raw sewage on the streets, and 600,000 children dying of things no one should die of.

who maintained those sanctions?

and what good did it do? saddam built more palaces during the sanction than he ever did.

i bet your sorry ass didn't know that, did it?

when did it become fashionable for YOU to start caring about LIBERATING the poor oppressed iraqis from their dictator, you fucking baby?
