^actually i think it would have been avoided had he thrown his original blueprint in the fire. But then the movie would have been 45 minutes long

Just saw the movie. Thought it was pretty badass. Only thing that could have improved it would have been some nudity of some of the chicks he was banging.

That was in fact Capt's shield

Quote :
"UPDATE: Just a few days ago, Marvel's President of Production Kevin Feige confirmed in person that it is Captain America's shield."

The Capitan America movie will take place in WWII to the present, could be cool.

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=44654

Next 5 movies (after Hulk and Wolverine):

Iron Man 2 - April 30, 2010 - Director Jon Favreau attached; original cast returning
Thor - June 4, 2010 - Screenwriter Mark Protosevich attached
The First Avenger: Captain America - May 6, 2011 - Screenwriter David Self attached
The Avengers - July 2011 - Screenwriter Zak Penn attached
Ant-Man - TBA - Director Edgar Wright attached; Wright and Joe Cornish attached as screenwriter

They said that they WILL have all of the original actors come back for the Avengers movie, so RDJ, SLJ, Edward Norton, possibly Hugh Jackman and Tobey Maguire, plus the two big names they will get to play Thor and Capitan America.

I'd have to agree with you on that, DnL.

But they're said to be filming spider-man 4 and 5 back to back in 2010(?) maybe they'll get the new actor to be in the avengers film.

They both said they would be down for another movie, so it should be happening.

I'm surprised that there haven't been any WTF Ant-Man posts.

listen...we see what happens when you have to many good characters in one movie....you get x-men 3.

I cannot see avengers being all that it could be based on this one reason.

I thought Oceans 11 was pretty good.

Anyway, I'm not sure that Wolverine will be in the Avengers movie, and I hope he won't be in it.

I'm under the impression that the Iron Man/Avengers movie universe is separate from the X-men universe, and that there are no Mutants (yet) in Stark's world. After all, Fury told him "You aren't the only superhero in the world" and Stark looked at least somewhat surprised. If they were in the same universe it would have been extremely obvious that there were more superheroes.

Spider-man might be alright. His exploits are much less globally reaching than those of X-men.

eric bana is a good actor too, and everyone hated the first hulk. i wouldn't base your initial opinion on norton alone. fwiw, i actually didn't mind the first one

Quote :
"In last summer's blockbuster Iron Man, Terrence Howard promised he'd join Tony Stark in his adventures "next time," amplifying fanboy anticipation for the sequel. The sequel may be happening, but don't expect to see Howard taking flight.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Don Cheadle will be filling Howard's shoes as Jim Rhodes, Stark's best friend and future hero War Machine. Marvel is keeping mum, but sources say Howard's return was squashed by disagreements over money and other undisclosed reasons.

Marvel reportedly already wanted to work with Cheadle and decided to take the role in a new direction. Rhodes is expected to have more screen time in the sequel, which also features returning stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and director Jon Favreau.

Are you sad to see Howard back out of the high-flying flick? Do you think Cheadle is a suitable "

I think Cheadle is brilliant but I hate when franchises change actors for characters from movie to movie, especially major ones

yeah but howard was a supporting actor and it sounded like he was trying to strongarm his way into more money by going the "there's no way they'll actually replace me" route. i think cheadle is a better actor anyway, so i can live with the change. holmes to gyllenhall was a huge improvement for the batman movies, this can be the same.

^^ disagree about the ol switcheroo with miss bags-under-her-eyes

but Cheadle > Howard, so I agree with that
