the only thing that makes halo repetitive to me is the severe lacking of maps. i expected more maps out of the box. cod4 has i think 16 maps, and one has snow flurries and on one its raining!

halo 3 would have been a lot better if they incorporated more game types into the matchmaking. i'm sick of doing team slayer, CTF, VIP, and territories. I feel like I've done that shit so many times before. I wish they had a deeper search option for finding gamers on xbox live. They incorporated a lot more awesome gametypes, like Infection, yet you can't play games unless you invite people. And even though you can tweak gravity, none of the matchmaking games take advantage of that. WTF?

Hahahaha I was just in the funniest server ever. Whenever someone got shot, instead of blood, confetti came out. If a person got blown up, intead of random guys/body parts flying around it had presents and balloons. The best though was when it went to sudden death. It spawned everyone on each team as a heavy without a gun, just fists. Then it started playing the Benny Hill music right as all of us started punching each other.

ha, yeah i remember counterstrike had a lot of those. i remember one that would just pick a random player out and he would spawn as a chicken. your screen looked like you were laying down holding a knife. but you could jump. other players saw a chicken running around jumping on people and blood going everywhere. i stayed in there just to get a good laugh

I think it turned the flags and what not into birthday presents, right?

That was an awesome thing to do if you were hosting.

Okay this is the IP of the server:

8.12.18.172:27015

I can't remember the name of it, but it was something like "Jimmy Likes Boys". You should be able to find it with the IP though.

I'm less impressed at your score and more impressed with the FULL SNIPER TEAM.

Edit: Unless it was a server/game that forced everyone to sniper.

is the general consensus that the pc version is far superior to the xbox version? i would assume so, since it's a pc game..

also: can you associate your xbox id with your steam account?

pc versions of games are never FAR superior, altho they may have some superority, but in reality its a handicap in my opinion - anything that makes a game easier, eg, the so-called precision aiming with mouse.

I haven't played the console version, but the pc version has keyboard and mouse, mods, maps and all kinds of community content. I would say it has the edge.

so you only play games on the smallest possible tv to make shit hard to see, and only the games with the worst controls and camera angles, and you take all the buttons out of your controller and just stick a screwdriver in the hole when you need to put a button, right?

because all those things make playing games easier.

My computer has started to reject this game, despite easily having the minimum specs (I've got 1gig RAM and a Radeon 9250). After I play for a little while, a notice will pop up in the upper right corner in red letters: Warning OS memory low, or something like that. And lately, I'll die and the game will freeze and whatever sounds I was hearing will start looping and I can't get out of it except to shut my computer off. Halp!

Building it yourself definitely is the best option and a lot more fun (what fun is buying one?). Be careful overclocking if you do it as much as I do. Invest in good cooling and you'll thank yourself later when you do want to push your hardware further. The great thing about building it myself is the prices and that I'm my own technical support, but I guess that isn't a good thing for some people

Oh man last night there were some good games going on. One server has a stalemate in capture point that ends with everyone spawning as heavy's with no guns! You run around and punch the other team to death. Quite a sight.

Also had some good sniping rounds, picking players as they attempt to jump from the top of their fort, head shots on scouts as they double jumped, and slow moving heavy's.

Though one map I came across the most heavily defended map room I have ever seen. Three engineers, and two heavy's constantly firing their guns at both entrances. The engineers had fortified the room with 3 sentry's, 4 dispensers, and 2 portals. Yea didn't do too much point scoring there.
