i got this game saturday, and have been really disappointed in the connection/matchmaking process. was it always this way, or is it something that has happened only recently? and does anyone know if infinity ward is gonna do anything about it?

it's xbox live, not infinity ward. it's being corrected and i believe they're giving everyone a free game. it's been working for me the last few days though. it will improve, don't worry.

gotcha. yeah it's been a while since i really used live. i played crackdown for a couple of weeks before christmas and then assassin's creed for a couple of weeks. before that it was halo 3 and then it was fine.

what kind of free game? an arcade game i'm guessing...

I always use the sleight of hand perk with LMGs because the reload time is usually so damn long.

It might be a waste, but I always get pissed when I get stabbed in the face while trying to feed a new belt. I'm also partial to the M60 over the RPD for some reason.

I'd rather have had them throw in an MG42 instead of the MP44 as the final unlocked weapon.

Haven't played in a while now so I thought I'd log on and see how the servers are. In 15 minutes, 3 disconnects. My games were noticeably laggy.

So I finally cranked this game open today. plays the first couple of missions on hardened. then I jumped online to get a fill for it and i got my ass handed to me. but I finally understood about the perks and stuff once i leveled up enough. Im still tryin to fill my way around maps. couple of noob questions. do I only show up on the radar firing a unsilenced weapon?? what if Im running??? also after 3 kills i got the turn radar on thing. if I use the radar thing does it reset me that I need to kill 5 in a row for air support or can i use radar.... few a few more people.... then still get air support? all these damn gun combinations is getting to me haha. gonna take some trial and error.

you'll lose your radar if you dont use it before support, same with support before helo

Yeah you only show up firing an unsilenced weapon, unless someone on their team gets radar for 30 seconds of course, I'm not sure about running. When you get 3 straight kills and use the radar, you only need two kills after that to get an air strike, and then two more for a helicopter, which is nice since an air strike can easily get you two kills.

just finally installed it and it keeps coming up with this.

I have unlocked the MP44 and, in my opinion, I am highly disappointed with it. I feel like it has more recoil than I like in sustained fire, and the stopping power is only average. These things on top of not being able to add any attachments to it does not motivate me to want to use it at all. I prefer the G36C even though it doesn't seem to have great stopping power. I'd even honestly choose the M16 over the MP44.

By a very wide margin, my favorite gun is the P90 with a silencer. It's got a quick draw, amazing control, surprising stopping power, a high cyclic rate, and a large magazine. Its iron sight is also so visible that you don't feel like you're missing anything by choosing the silencer over the red dot. On the contrary, the silencer is what makes it lethal since it makes you harder to track down.

the p60 is for babies LOL

real mean use the m60e4 with the red dot site, or the grip, double tap or stopping power and deep impact. however when playing objective games replace deep impact with extreme conditioning and you will be the mofo man on the map.

this has to be the best gun because you only need to reload it once, if that, HIGH clip capacity, and packs power even without the stopping power perk, it is good at all ranges (obviously not sniper range but i have taken out some fools VERY far away).

I'm a big fan of the m60, the rate of fire is a little slow, but i still enjoy it.

I tried using the Mini-Uzi and got fucking wrecked since it has no range.

when i'm in a game and it ends, saying the host ended the game, does that mean that some douchebag who had host just saw that they were winning and ended the game or is it something else? That's one of the lamer things about this game's multiplayer, along with the fact that you can start in a game that's already in progress and be put on a team that's losing by 50 or more points.

none of my teammates every shoot at the helos, they just let it massacre them over and over

i end up using all my clips of the p90 or mp5 to take it out (takes at least 3 clips) and end up having to run around with my pistol till i can find a replacement

^^ I hate the RPG. If you got a bigger explosion out of it it would be awesome for taking out a room full of guys on a headquarters match, but as it is you pretty much have to hit someone in the face with it.

4^ Fair enough. I hate the saw though. Playing 'Shipment' with the M60E4 is easily one of the best things that I've ever played.
