^ Yep.

Animal Collective - Water Curses

hxxp://www.zshare.net/download/8819348e1143ab/

I've got this on my desktop, but haven't really felt compelled to unzip it yet, so someone let me know if it resembles actual music.

i know i'm probably the biggest animal collective homer on here, but the first two songs on that EP are fucking sweet.. i almost like them more than anything on SJ. i think they're already recording the next album as well.

I usually don't like much of the "downer" music, but that album actually appeals to me. Not something I'd want to rock all the time, but it's good. I like it better than Beach House, I know that much

I'm digging that Born Ruffians at the moment

That She and Him is very average. Not enough M Ward

^^ I'm betting the opposite

it's not cute like J.Lew, it sounds pretty uncomfortable except for the "You Really Got a Hold on Me" cover

It bothers me that the username autoformat left you with an uncapitalized sentence-starter.

finally got home to listen to she & him all the way through

way too forced

i'm literally taken aback with how forced it is

but i'm a sucker for the ronnie spector shit that's interspersed

so i'm not totally down on it

a buddy of mine asked me my opinion of the She & Him album, here was my non-professional response ...
Quote :
"This album/collaboration is much like orange soda. When I take that first swallow my initial reaction is, "OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT I FUCKING LOVE ORANGE SODA!"

I love the tingle it induces in the back of my throat, and the battle of artificial sweeteners with the bitterness of the manufactured citrus flavorings.

"I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS ORANGE SODA, GIVE ME ANOTHER!"

"Oh no ... this isn't good ... now I have this thick, syrupy film coating the inside of my mouth and it tastes like ass."

"Fuck, I can't even scrap this shit off my tongue."

Short of cutting off my tongue with child's safety scissors ...

"I need water, or perhaps some refreshing Post-War."

Five minutes later and time to forget ...

"SOME ORANGE SODA WOULD BE THE BOMB RIGHT NOW!"

... and that's my word."
