I got my first gray 8 years ago. At the rate they are coming in, in another 8 years they will be the majority on my head and beard.

At least it ain't falling out, right? I probably won't ever have gray hair, but I'll probably end up bald at this rate.

When after having sex, you feel you should have stretched before hand. And you didn't even do any awkward positions.

you do extensive research on purchases such as windshield wipers

if you know you are going somewhere that will involve drinking past 9:00pm you go ahead and take off work for the following day

I have more grey on my face than on my head. Though the wife has found a few here and there.

I've found maybe two grey hairs on my head...but they compose about 1/3 of my chest hairs.

Oh...and to add to the topic...

I love doing yard work. I like cutting the grass, edging, and weed-eating. I like going to the local nursery and picking out (but not paying...shit is expensive) new plants and flowers and figuring out where I should put them in my hard.

We're changing our window boxes this week (from spring/summer flowers to fall/winter)...and I couldn't be more pumped.

You go around the fair saying 'Wonder if this vendor is still here', 'They used to have that certain ride, why don't they anymore!', 'I've been going to this place for awhile, its not a visit without getting cider', etc.

^ Sounds like her body can still deposit calcium (adequate osteoblast levels? can they even measure that? something wrong with the calcitonin/PTH/otherhormonesIforget balance?), or
has enough serum Ca+2 floating around, but for whatever reason is prematurely losing density. As a woman, usually your bone density starts to go downhill after the age of 30, and especially after menopause.

So I had a violent sneeze earlier, and felt my back pop again.

now the pain is cut in half.

I can tie my shoes again without needing to wince in pain.

This has probably already been said, but I've been groaning and sighing for several years now.

Walk into a room. Sigh. Sit down. Groan. Reach for the newspaper. Groan. Open the paper. Sigh...

1) You think Halloween is for the kids this year, and will prefer to spend it at home handing out candy to the little buggers.

2) you don't get the cultural references of some of the kids' Halloween costumes.

Hell yeah on the halloween stuff.

I realized tonight that I just want to take my kids trick or treating at like 5:30, then go to bed.

But I can't, because I need to stay up for the wave of teenagers not really dressed up as anything, and hand out mad amounts of candy, as if I am buying myself some protection from random pranks. "Hey, not this guys house, he always hooks us up with candy!".

Even though i know thats completely, mentally insane.

Why do you "need to"?

What if you don't?

That's just weird to me.

I have NEVER stayed up to pass out Halloween candy even living in a subdivision for 4 years. I always put out a bucket of candy. A couple of years, I refilled the bucket about 1/2 way through the night. I always put out lame cheap candy like Smarties or DumDums because I know kids are tempted to just empty the whole damned thing into their bag.

Never had any trouble. No pranks, nothing. A couple of door bell rings during trick or treating hours, but I always figured it was a little kid getting to the door before Mom or Dad could stop them.

I told you I knew it was insane.

Ive lived in this house 5 years now, and our neighborhood never has vandalism or anything.

Probably because I bought all the hoodlums off with halloween candy.....

Minor injuries during exercise are common: this year I have battled a pinched shoulder nerve, a rolled ankle,
ankle and heel pain, and knee sorenss, no matter how often you do your cross-training/stretching/icing crap.

You can't remember the names of your dorm-mates during freshman or sophomore year, and FB wasn't invented then so you can't even fb-stalk them if you wanted to.

you are out at a club, and there is a remix of a song where the original had came out before some other people in the club were born but after you had started going to clubs.

I'm living next to 3 colleges. When I see a cute college girl go by my first reaction is usually "awwwww, the kids look so adorable these days!"

And then I feel old.

/Doesn't help that they're often dressed like it's 80's night at The Cat's Cradle

Enjoy that. It's quite an experience to have 3 generations under one roof. Silas loved it. My grandmother resented it. And I felt like I'd popped out another really ornery kid. But honestly, taking care of my grandmother until she died was an extremely rewarding experience and actually made her death easier to deal with.

My wife went out and got shitfaced at wild wing cafe last night,

I stayed home,

and took apart an android tablet.

She called me for a ride at 1:30 and I got aggervated waiting in the parking lot for 15 minutes instead of going in for a quick beer.

I am officially old and boring.
