I can somewhat sympathize with you on this subject.
My parents were rather confused, to my own fault with how I told them.
If the subject just came up again its probable fresh again. It takes time, lots of time. It took ten years for me recently to talk to my parents again. It turns out some of it was a misunderstanding and alot of it was that it will take some major time for them to get used to the idea. It is true that she could never accept it or not ever get over it but just remember to live for you and not for her. Its her own loss if shes going to be the bitch about it.
