I wish they would allow you to not accept an "upgrade." I'm tired of having nasty weapons available, and the guy pulls a broadsword for the whole fight. I'd rather have him fight by hand until he draws something worthwhile.

I've probably spent way too much time on this, but here's something for y'all:

In your first 6 fights, you can advance to level 3 if you win all of them, and have a good chance to see if the brute will turn into something decent. If he still sucks at level 3, drop him for good. But, it saves time to win the first 6 straight, so you can see the first 2 upgrades).

On level I, fight abyssol and mlkj - neither has any good attributes at all, and are easy victories.

On level II, fight Respektum, Slavo'ss, GateCF, and Bebo34. Only Bebo34 will be any kind of a challenge (and not much of one), as he has decent strength and a shield, but no weapons.

That's a quick way to create a new character and quickly see if you like the upgrades. Note: Just because you win these 6, doesn't mean your brute is good.

I got one brute where my first three upgrades were the meat-cleaver looking thing, fierce brute, and herculean strength.

When I connect with a fierce-brute meat-cleaver....it does at least 150 damage. Crazy to watch. The guy doesn't win much. But I keep fighting with him just to see the one-hit battles

lol check out leveled up. it took me 5 levels to get a weapon. herc. strength, pugnacity, vitality and 6th sense were the things i built first. then all of a sudden... flail or whatever it is... i went from beating people to WRECKING people. because he would swing it twice often and kill people in one turn. then he got the war hammer. which is 100 hp atleast by itself. then i got a sword... then bumps. now i am wondering what i will get next. I'm out of weapons i'd want.
