Why do a person's politics have to define their art?

I really like Matt Damon as an actor. I certainly don't agree with his politics. I still pay money to see movies that he's in. I don't agree with Tom Cruise's religion...at all. But damn near everything he's in is entertaining. I somewhat agree with Tim Allen's politics but find him pretty unfunny as an actor and comedian.

Depends on what they did. I didn’t care that Cruise was a Scientologist, but after watching Louis Theroux’s documentary, I’m good on that dude for now.

I don’t care if Kanye has some right wing views, but propping up a psycho grifter like Charlie Kirk is a problem for me.

And side note what right wing views do you even hold at this point?? Pretty sure you’re further left than some Dems on this board. Are you sure you’re not just clinging to an identity ?

bipolar is a hell of a disorder. at least he has the $$ and wife to get it through it. and food for thought: lots of people have this disorder and have little to no access to mental heath care. and if they're an adult and are lucky enough to have family that takes them to a hospital they have to "want" the treatment themself. if they think they're gonna save the world/world's gonna end the chances of them saying "maybe something is wrong with me and I'm crazy" are pretty slim to none.
