Reminds me more of the Chinese Restaurant episode. The thing is, the dialogue is so good in the episode the viewer doesn't care that nothing really happens. I'm a big fan of community, but I don't think they were able to pull the same feat off.

This show has really evloved from it's formulaic begins to a very clever and interesting show. I didn't like the first few episodes, but when they started bucking the obvious cliches of sitcom, the show really started to grow on me.

I missed the first 3 minutes or so. I guess they had an excellent setup because after about 5 mintues or so I thought... are they really going on this long over a stupid pen? It's not working for me, move on already. Then the whole episode was about just that.

I guess I'm in the minority, but needless to say I didn't like the episode at all.

I guess so, but the "bottle" part of it (i.e. the characters trapped in a confined setting) is really only part of the equation...it doesn't explain why the showrunner would do an episode like that, or why supporting characters are usually absent in one, etc...I'm not going to hate on someone for wanting to know more about it when all that was really explained in the episode was the tip of the iceberg.

The Arrested Development vibe was higher than normal in this last episode.

Probably due to the prop gun, lesson teaching part. I half expected J Walter Weatherman to show up and lose an arm.
Despite that, Community still managed to take it a level beyond what I was expecting and LOLs were had.
