Obviously the Fowlers are aware that Lee is in danger of getting fired. If that wasn't the case, his daughter wouldn't have taken the "Fire Fowler" shirt seriously. With a response like that, it seems likely that the rumors are circulating in other circles outside the student/alumni/fan arena. Also the fact that she says "when he leaves here..." sounds like he may already be making plans.
