Also FYI the official challenge starts on Memorial Day, where you'll be using all the first posted pictures, so your first week result pictures aren't due until a week after that.

i was contemplating that as well.

here's me back in late feb,



prior to when i stopped lifting for a while, and shifted over to just running. ill do some pics over the weekend at the beach. probably weighed 180 +/- 2 lbs there. am now clocking 175, but i have been eating especially well the last week or so as a result of this thread and in order to be able to eat some good food on vacation at the beach. would like to see if i can go sub 175, even though im very comfortable with how i feel and look at this weight, or even 180.

im not really going for mass, i just enjoy trying to be as lithe and relatively thin as i can, without looking sickly. but i think i'm a good 10-15 lbs from that.

that's my only topless pic of recent memory.

I was thinking today... the stress from this whole application process has done a number on me, to the point where I would wake up multiple times in the night, felt fatigued, etc etc etc... I wonder how much better I'll feel now

I think I'd have better luck with rings than I do with the (non-flat) bar at our gym.

I stopped eating the sample goodies in the grocery store and Starbucks because of this thread! And I gave up fortune cookies ... my general after-lunch treat.

Alcohol is the challenge, however.

So far today:

breakfast
4.5 ounces of canned light tuna with a tablespoon of mayo
iced venti americano
glass of water

early lunch
half of a turkey and provolone sandwich with tomato on whole wheat bread
glass of water

late lunch
half of a turkey and provolone sandwich with tomato on whole wheat bread
glass of water

workout
5-mile run in 41 minutes
15 minutes of arms and abs

Probably ceviche and veggies for dinner plus water and wine

Oh, and sometimes I snack on a little sumthin sumthin at 10 ... usually veggies or oatmeal

4 miles on the elliptical, 3 mile run on the trail wood loop. Then when I was done I did 3 leg excercises and 3 shoulder exercises. I always do 3 ab exercises.

Leg Curls 4 sets of 6 of 150 pounds....burnout of 16 reps of 70 pounds.
Hamstring Curls 4 sets of 6 of 150 pounds....burnout of 16 reps of 70 pounds.
I count the running and elliptical as 1 exercise.

Shoulder presses 4 sets of 6 of 85 pounds...burnout of 16 of 40 pounds.
Shoulder extensions 4 sets of 30 pounds each arm...burnout of 16 of 12 pounds
Should lifts 4 sets of 80 pounds each arm....burnout of 16 of 50 pounds

Dinner was a microwavable meal of 15 grams of protein a Mac N Cheese Burger mix, 8 ounce whole milk, and a peanut butter bar.

Someone please tell me what all they think I am doing wrong.

Sandwich - Turkey breast, salami, lettuce, tomato, pickle, honey mustard, on white.
Taco bell burrito. Cheesy bean and rice.

Today's workout:
walk on the beach.

Vacations are not for working out.

i just heard ab locopops!

insanity came in the mail today!!! woohhooo!! so excited to do my first workout tonight

i did pretty good today. bfast was my smoothie thing, lunch was ALL shashimi (w japanese rice, not regular), miso soup & salad. just got home and made a pbj w whole wheat bread & all natural pb&j (no high fructose corn syrup in the whole sandwich, take that!)

not sure what im doing for dinner, maybe spinach smoothie

oh, i did eat that bag of peanut m&ms i referred to yesterday on my drive back from louisiana

I tried better to hit my macros today, but didn't quite get there

I know I didn't consume that much fat because I consciously try to overestimate kcals and underestimate expenditure. And sometimes I can't find exactly what I ate so I put in something that's close (i.e. 1% milk instead of skim, full-fat cheese instead of 2%, regular ground beef instead of extra lean). I know you can add things yourself, but like I said, I try to overestimate.

I've been using an excel spreadsheet that I created, keeping my

protein at ~40%,

carbs at ~40%

and fat at ~20%

might switch it up a bit though

mine range all over the place...

i just make sure to keep my cals in check and dont let my carbs get over 50%

just did the fit test on insanity (day one)

i burnt a respectable 200 calories in 30min. the fit test was definitely a challenge but i know i can get my numbers up over the next 2 months. i plan to do day 2 tomorrow before i leave for the airport.

this thread had inspired me to go to the gym and do stairs for an hour, the fit test was nice and all but i can't count that as a work out in good conscience

oh and ive decided that my beach body goal is iheartkisses .. but with more huge boobs

I can't afford good food until I start my new career. I know its bad. Could my nutrition completely ruin my workout all together?

My goal is to attain Wolfy's chest. Not sure how to make that happen w/o surgery though. genetics are against me

only rode for 45 minutes tonight. good pace though. i avg'd 17.3 mph. that is not bad for me when i have no one helping pull. tomorrow i will not ride but will start my quest for 100 straight push ups.

Killer upper body workout... benched, pressed, curled, pushed, pull-ups, and push-ups. Food from today:

1 double oat and honey bagel
2 bananas
1 Greek yogurt
2 cups of coffee with skim
2 cups of skim milk
1 Nos muscle energy drink
2 protein shakes
2 cans of tuna
1 calorie free Powerade
1 protein bar

More benching tomorrow and maybe some cardio.

^ok, so I did some weights today. I forgot to take the list that you offered so it is just what I remembered off the top of my head. I will do more on Saturday. 2 days a week, Wednesday and Saturday. I also bought a Zone diet cookbook. That diet will do VERY well with my diabetes. Good call!

35 minute elliptical

sets/reps/weight
3x5x90 pull-ups
3x8x100 leg press
3x8x100 alternate leg press
3x8x45 dead lift

fuck around i just packed my lunch for tomorrow and friday. damn you people and your motivation has me back into this again. my wife is furious because she said for the next 12 weeks i will not go out to eat with her! she is lucky, she is 5'6" and 114 silicone and all, yet she eats what ever she wants. its not fair.
