its part of a satirical show, as long as they hit one of the four main categories of satire, it's under that clause. I would consider it a parody because of the amount exaggeration they used for the production.

As much as I like Colbert, I think it would have been funnier to get a legitimate singer to do the opening verse. For example, T&E getting Josh Grobin to sing Casey songs was one of the best sketches on T&EASGJ.
