yeh, that is stupid. just let people sit in empty seats and tell them to GTFO of the way if the ticket holder comes.
heck, one of the RBC event staff supervisors told some people in my section to do just that, and that is in the lower courtside section. 11/17/2011 10:22:27 AM |

I'm pretty sure we got more offensive rebounds in that game than we had all season last year.
I think minus letting their big number 34 drive and hook in the paint, we did great keeping them out of there (minus a few back door cuts in the second half).
As far as there being no top 10 plays, I thought for sure Zo's takeaway steal would have been up there. There was no finesse in that at all, he just grabbed the ball out of that guys hands. It was awesome.
And Vandy was a solid contributor last night. Gott even mentioned after the game he may have been the best defender on the floor. Princeton kept setting those high ball screens with his man and we would peel off and make the PG go around him instead of driving that open lane to the basket and breaking our defense down. He seriously used his size to his advantage in keeping people out of the paint and he did a great job blocking shots when guys tried to post him up under the basket. He is still not a fantastic offensive player, but he had six points (I think) and a bunch of rebounds in that game, and a few more blocks to add to his stats. He's my favorite player to root for. 11/17/2011 10:57:11 AM |

Unless Brown improves his drive & shot, I don't see him going just yet. Though, that doesn't always stop players from doing such. I just think he needs more time at the #1 to be NBA ready. 11/17/2011 11:05:48 AM |

^^ You'd just need one Vanden sign and then a couple of other signs for the guy next to you to hold. Have some like -Dunk, -Block, -Three (it could happen, he's european), -Wall (for when he knocks someone down while they're going to the basket).
If I was still in Raleigh, I'd be there with the signs myself. 11/17/2011 1:49:30 PM |

Did anybody mention that Zo twisted his ankle early in the week and then had the flu in the middle of the week?
And then came out and completely led the team to a victory over Princeton.
Zo > Harrow?

Zo: twists ankle, gets sick, leads team to victory.

Agree that Zo is a great college player but he has limited pro potential. He's too small and doesn't shoot or protect the ball quite well enough. I wouldn't be that surprised if we get four years out of him.
I thought it was great when Gottfried yelled at him "You just got out of the way". The dude has the capability to be a great defender if he wants to be, but he was an awful defender last year. Hell, he got torched against Flagler this year and after the game Gottfried obviously sorted him out because he's been a steal machine ever since.
Bottom line is that Gottfried is going to get a lot more out of these players in one offseason then Sidney would have over their whole career. 11/17/2011 3:41:30 PM |

we were talking about Lo Brown right? The guy who killed us on defense last year?
Dont get me wrong I love Lobo and i think gottfried is making him work on his defense this year rather than just reaching in the whole game.
He's not too small to play PG, but he's too careless with the ball to play PG in the NBA right now. He's what 185 lbs? How many SG's in the NBA weight 185 haha. Can he put on 20 lbs probably but will he be the same player? Not sure.
I just checked and NBA draftnet doesnt have him round 1 or round 2 in the next two years. And they have harrow at the bottom of round 1 in two years (uh what?).

first of all, D Wade is the best defensive guard in the NBA Okay. Second, Rondo and Zo do have similar offensive games if you look at how he has played so far this season. 11/17/2011 5:30:01 PM |

LOL, Zo isn't even a true point guard. He's a one by necessity. Rondo is as close to a textbook point guard as there is. Great defender and distributor who can finish around the hoop.11/17/2011 5:57:13 PM |
