No, jackass, but it IS common sense that people will stop watching shows that aren't very good. Especially on HBO where the standard of quality (and I'd argue the taste and/or expectations of the average viewer) is higher than your average basic cable or network show.

The problem with that argument is that no one watched Enlightened from the beginning, and Bored to Death's ratings plummeted after getting moved to a shitty timeslot (who the fuck watches HBO on Monday nights?). I won't bother making excuses for Hung since it just flat out sucked.

Eh, literally every person that has HBO, also has access to HBO On Demand and HBO To Go, and HBO runs their shows on repeat 3-4 times a week so I really don't see how it's relevant to talk about time slots or week nights or even watching a show from the beginning since catching up is so easy.

Bored to Death's ratings plummet probably had as much to do with people finding out that Zach Galifianakis' character wasn't going to be allowed to be anything like his stand-up/real life persona/Hangover character, and the rest of the show was just a too-dry pseudo-intellectual horribly-un-funny shitfest that only people that masturbate to Wes Anderson movies would find entertaining.

Enlightened didn't MAKE anybody want to go back and watch from the beginning because it wasn't interesting in the slightest. And yes, Hung was just dreadful all around.

I'm pretty sure everyone figured out that Galifianakis wasn't the same character from The Hangover after episode 1 of season 1 of Bored to Death, not after the last episode of season 2 but whatever. Neither you nor I know what the HBO Go viewership numbers are for any show so speculating about how much that did or did not contribute to a cancellation is pointless.

Hmmm. I guess I'm the only one that liked Bored to Death and Hung. Sidenote: I never thought of Hung as a comedy, I just thought it was an interesting show. I did find Enlightened to be extremely boring though.

Now, if they say that the show sucks because some fat chick keeps getting naked...then that's immature. The show is good (although coming out pretty slow this season). Lisa Dunham's tits have no affect on the show being good or bad...I just wish I could see less of them. I get the "reality" of it...but doesn't mean I want to stare at the them for 8 minutes of a 25 minute show.

Lisa Dunham does not have "shitty" boobs. They're small, and I kinda like them.

The tattoos are awful though. I find people's tattoos to be very distracting in a bad way, and I think they're generally pretty terrible.

1. I think she's actually put on a few pounds, so her itty bitty titties have actually rounded out a bit....

2. Jessa is the worst part about this show. Her character sucks and her story sucks. The show would be much better if they just took her character completely out.
