When it's close games, i think this system is fine, the user is predicting a close game, and they should get the points for predicting that. However, next year (or from here on out) it might make sense to cut that off after a certain point, maybe a touchdown. If the user predicts a spread over 7 points with the wrong winner, they don't get the spread points... jmho.

I think it would have to be if the ACTUAL spread is over 7 points in the wrong direction regardless of what the user's prediction is.

Like if the user predicts 7 but the wrong team wins by 8.

I just realized I started cutting too early, I wanted to finish the season with a top-10, but now we'll be there a game early.

I'm going to try to figure out a fair way to do cuts this week. I might cut 3 this week and 4 next week, but if there is a tie at the bottom as there has been the last couple of weeks then it might sort itself out anyway.
